Vitality Wellness Group follows the protocol of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) for health and fitness evaluations. These components are:
Cardiorespiratory Fitness refers to the ability of the circulatory and respiratory systems to supply oxygen during sustained physical activity. Vitality uses the Fitmate Pro to measure VO₂ max fitness. This is one of the most advanced testing tools/procedures in the industry.
Body Composition refers to the relative amount or percentage of different types of body tissue (bone -fat-muscle) that are related to health. Vitality uses the SECA medical Body Composition Analyzer. This state of the Art Analyzer is a gold standard measure of Body Fat %, lean muscle tissue and both intro and extracellular fluids.
Muscular Strength is the ability to perform activities that require high levels of muscular force. Vitality uses a standard free weight testing system along with the Jamar Dynamometer to measure bilateral strength.
Muscular Endurance is the ability of a muscle group to execute repeated contractions over a period of time, sufficient to cause muscular fatigue. Vitality uses a standard free weight system for this measurement.
Flexibility is the capability to move a joint through its complete range of motion. Vitality uses the Baseline Sit and Reach Trunk Flexibility Box to measure flexibility.
